What is NACA?

NACA is a national association that represents local, small business organizations.

What are the local small business organizations?

They are community based groups of small business owners who come together to address issues that affect their community.

How does this help my business?

Through NACA you will have the guidance and support to affect positive changes in your community's Business opportunities, Jobs, Education, Health and Economy. ANd as your community changes and prospers your business will grow and flourish.

Is there any other organization that does what you do?

No, we are the only organization that offers opportunities specific to the building crafts and the small business community. We offer a path for business expansion and a voice for those craftsmen who have not been heard in the past.

Why should NACA matter to me?

NACA matters because you matter. It matters because our community is entrepreneurial, inventive and ambitious. This positive energy can be channeled to help us build and strengthen our community. As the business community becomes strong and self sustainable, neighborhoods and families become strong and self sufficient.

How does NACA work?

NACA builds on the strength of its members. By creating opportunities for joint ventures, as well as relationships between prime contractors, corporations, public entities and small businesses, NACA opens the doors of opportunity for its members to reach their highest potential. We create opportunities for discount material purchases 3, access to interim financing, access to bonding, and educational seminars. By being a national advocate for small business issues NACA ensures a level playing field for all businesses.

How can a national organization be an advocate for my community and my business needs?

NACA takes its cues from its members. We do not provide a "service" to our members; our main goal is to know the members, from a personal and business level, to a wider community level. With this knowledge in mind we provide the resources, opportunities and advocacy that each member needs particular to his/her community.

Are you a trade union or a chamber of commerce?

We are neither. We are a network of corporate and business professionals, community and civic organizations, educational and governmental entities working to build strength of unity and the means for economic growth by providing access to valuable resources specific to craftsmen and small business.

Is membership limited to the construction crafts? No, membership in NACA is open to all small business enterprises as well as individuals. Our focus is small business growth; our commitment is to provide the means for small businesses to flourish while providing opportunities for others to learn and grow. Our target population includes the small/micro disadvantaged or historically underutilized businesses, the skilled and unskilled labor force and heads of households that are either unemployed or underemployed.
